    June 15, 2017 - From a split, ready to go. Very French, very sophisticated. Texturally this was a 99+, flavor wise a 94. Perfect balance.

    May 26, 2017 - Although the price of entry is continually creeping up, this is a world-class wine that sits comfortably alongside equally expensive Bordeaux.
    Beautiful black fruits, anise, tobacco and autumn leaves, tannins ripe and not obtrusive. Excellent length.
    Yet another incredibly impressive Californian wine, and one that deserves another 5 years in the cellar.
    Highly recommended. 94++

    May 24, 2017 - A perfect ringer for a Bordeaux blind tasting, the wine has freshness, refinement, soft tannins, and while the fruit is perfectly ripe, here, you find all the fresh, sweet, red and black fruits you could hope for, without any jammy, or overripe notes. Lots of cedar, tobacco and earthy, forest notes only add to the fun. Drink now, or hold...

    May 20, 2017 - This bottle was in a very good place. A really nice balance between new and old world. Tremendous nose of black cherries, creme de cassis, licorice and liqueur. Quite deep and rich, with nice mature flavors of leather and earth to go with red fruit. Long, relatively seamless finish. For my tastes, this is right at the age to drink. Give it 2 hours in the decanter and have at it.
