January 12, 2017 - Wow...what a change after four years and a two hour decant. This red blend has gained medium weight and is more concentrated with rich dark blackberry and plum fruit. It has become more expressive with notes of dark chocolate, mocha and cassis. This wine has really moved to another quality level and thankfully have three more bottles. Another great example of holding bottles longer and being rewarded.

June 19, 2015 - Very dark wine. Opened it and let it breathe in the bottle for about 2 hours and then drank over the next 5 hours. At first it was very much a fruit forward wine. After being opened for about 3 hours, there was a lot more going on with this wine. A lot more fruit/flavor on the mid-palate and nice long finish. It just coats your mouth. The wine is in a great state right now and should still be very good for at least another 4-6 years.

January 1, 2015 - A little unfair - we drank this late in the evening NYE after a big Mollydooker wine. That said, it was good but just didn't hold up. Felt a little flat. I say drink up if you've got more left.

December 23, 2013 - Delicate, soft and silky smooth tannins, this Cab blend has great fruit with medium body. This wine has a feminine quality to it but at the same time is fruit forward...but in a restrained way. Recommend decanting for an hour to get the full complexity of this.

February 9, 2013 - Good, but not fantastic. Nice, deep, big - yes. There just wasn't any defining characteristic or flavor that made me sit up straight and be wowed. I'll try my other bottle in five years and see if there is a difference.

October 20, 2012 - Relic is a gorgeous wine! Decanted for an hour. The Cab (with a splash of petit verdot and syrah) was filled fruit and wonderful soft tannins. It was better on day 2!!

January 5, 2010 - somehow that small amount of PV and Syrah completely takes the edge off this young Cab. YUM.
