August 30, 2014 - Ratings on this are extremely favorable but I am not sure I am going to 90+., were I to assign a value. Bold and masculine, dark berry fruit aplenty, moderate tannins, would have many years in it. Definitely a good buy at the price.

August 7, 2014 - Not decanted. Typical Bandol character, restrained, mid-weight black fruit, black currant, wild berry, pen ink, Mediterranean herbs, milk chocolate, crushed violets. Smooth mouthfeel and quite complex, but the alcohol stands out a bit, giving distracting heat to the palate. Still 2-4 years away from peak. Drink now-2022.

February 10, 2013 - Approachable now, but will go a few more years. Nice.

June 7, 2011 - Decanted one hour. Deep dark ruby, almost purple color. Developing aromas of chocolate covered raspberry and some dark fruits, like blackberry. Some dried fruit aromas. Non-fruit notes of crushed rocks and earth. Also black pepper. All of it wrapped around a chocolate-cola shell. At this stage, the flavors are beginning to stew quite nicely and show some development. Palate confirms the developed aromas, and shows plenty of fleshy fruit and medium plus velvety tannins. Well structured, and hides the medium plus alcohol level. Spiciness and bramble evident on front and mid palate. Medium plus finish. Very solid wine that shows development now but will benefit from 3-4 more years. Recommend.
