May 18, 2021 - beautiful example of an '07 burg with high acidity, open-knitted at this point (no need to wait) and reddish fruit with some spice riding the acid trail

February 14, 2021 - On the early side of readiness - best after an hour and a half, when the nose was most complex and harmonious. Red fruit, musk, savory sous-bois aromas, black tea, and something like raspberry liquor. Not the most well articulated nose but interesting and lovely. Balanced and elegant on the palate, quintessential Chambolle mouthfeel. Lovely wine, but to me, not super inspiring.

December 31, 2020 - Nice, mature burgundy. Classic notes, lacks a little tension and intensity on the mid palate to merit a higher score. But very good

November 27, 2020 - medium bodied for red burg, nice even-handed acidity, both red and darker fruits emerging on the palate, with a good mouthfeel and a tiny bit of smoke coming in here and there... time to drink this, ready and not sure what it will taste like in 5-10 years... not nearly as awesome as the 2010 bottle I had a couple weeks back

March 8, 2019 - Wining Around New York; 3/6/2019-3/10/2019 (Various Venues, New York): Muddled light red. This led with menthol, but after an hour or so, strawberry joined the aromatic party. Lithe, fine soil base, vibrant, delicate red fruit, excellent binding acidity, and fading tannins. Ah, Chambolle, and a good reminder not to overlook 2007's from good sources. Not profound, but totally seductive and satisfying.

December 28, 2018 - Birthday drinks (Indianapolis, IN): Great showing from the second the cork was pulled. Incredibly light and airy with perfumed red fruit, fresh rose petals and other floral scents, and the start of developing savoury earthiness all coming together into a polished, seamless whole. Air brings out more high-toned floral and lightly herbal notes on the nose, but a bottle of this disappears very quickly - this is in a great place right now.

September 28, 2018 - It was ready from the get go and improved as we went along. Passed Derek Darth Taster some and had a glass with Asparagus later on.

Concur with Derek Darth Taster on the score. First experience of Bertheau and I am impressed - Silky elegance is the first thing that comes to mind. Throw in herbaceous notes, Chinese medicine (dont mind it), subtle red fruits, stony minerals and you have a winner. Medium finish to me.

Am a fan and am tempted to get more...

September 28, 2018 - Eastside wineexchange program with Heymamalow. Tasted from bottle about an hour+ after it was opened.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with an airy nose of floral garden earth, wet soil, stony minerality, strawberry bush, red cherries, tinge of Chinese medicinal herbs. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of pretty red cherries, crunchy red apples, brambly strawberries, savoury garden earth, plant sap, rocky stones minerality, sweet spice and touch of Chinese herbs. Long finish. Very silky mouth-feel with a savoury earth edge.
Very good quality. Complex, especially in the context of traditional elegant restrained Chambolle-Musignys.
Drink and enjoy over next 2-3 years.

July 28, 2016 - Terrific. Decanted for an hour. Should have gone longer. Think it can use a few more yrs to mellow the edges. Very nice though.
