February 2, 2024 - At 16 years old this bottle still showed the familiar geranium aromas of classic CRB Gamay, though at this stage the pyrazines are more prominent than the primary fruit. This bottle had a lot of fine sediment and pouring it through a paper coffee filter helped a lot.

March 6, 2021 - In a lovely place right now. The fruit tends toward red plum, with a sense of something floral/herby/spicy too that is hard to identify and changes with time in the glass (geraniums? tarragon? cinammon? I give up). Anyway, it's smooth as silk on the palate and seems like it would be very versatile with food (though I only got to try it with roast chicken). Wish they were still making this.

July 18, 2016 - Popped and poured. Nomacorc. Aromas of red fruit, menthol. Flavors of tobacco leaf, red fruit, earth. Delicate cherry finish. Firm acid, subtle flavors, some complexity. Lackluster at first, gains depth and energy with air time. It seems to get better with each sip. Drinking well, probably in its prime.

March 19, 2014 - Amazingly, this is still pretty drinkable. Will it ever die?

April 29, 2013 - just starting to flatten and fall, but still nicely acidic and peppery....still a great bistro wine, but beginning to show its age.

December 16, 2012 - So wonderful - starting to have some very slight raisin-y old-wine aromas, but still very fresh, great acidity, goes so well with food.

September 28, 2012 - still wonderful with no sign of slowing down. pretty amazing, actually. I have 4 more bottles and am confident they will last a few more years at least. the acidity is perfect: a real bistro wine that's completely gulpable.

March 16, 2012 - Last bottle and shockingly still holding up despite the fake cork. There's no sign of any development here, just fresh red and dark berried fruits and peppery seasonings over a savoury earthy base and a bright acid spine that keeps it very refreshing.
