March 23, 2021 - Aging gracefully. Has an open, clean, and classic bouquet of Cabernet. Full-bodied and concentrated, well developed with full secondary and a hint of tertiary flavors. Acid minus. Long length. HAs the charm and delicious factor. Overall I am very happy with the bottle.

January 5, 2020 - Decanted 30 mins. Oxidized, but in balance with nose of red cherry, toffee, dried herbs, and baked earth. Palate was silky, with caramel covered cherry and toffee flavors, but also had a mild acetaldehyde tartness to it. Just a characteristic of this particular bottle. Structure was intact - moderate acidity and med-minus tannin, finish was only medium length. I wish it aged a little better, but still very enjoyable with my coffee-rubbed strip.

December 7, 2017 - This is a powerful, powerful cab. Library release to the wine club members recently. Thought it was near its end according to some reports, but no way. Very nice briar, forest floor nose...dark purple/garnet in the glass. Not the least hint of aging anywhere. Enjoyed over a 3 hour time period, before, during and after a munchie dinner of salami, London broil with spicy deli mustard, aged gouda, and English cheddar. Dark black fruit, licorice, tobacco and still powerful tannins with plenty of grip left. Strong acidity remains. Full integration of fruit, tannins, acid and alcohol has still not yet occurred. The tannins are smooth, the oak is still very much evident. Some small amount of vanillin and tart cherry noted on the back end, but it's overwhelmed by all the other components. This is a man's cab. There is nothing feminine about it. Frankly, was hoping it was a little more tame and toned down by this time. This still has a long, long way to go.
