December 9, 2022 - Eugene's birthday: My contribution for the birthday boy's birth year. About as alive as I expected it to be, unfortunately the palate didn't live up to the quite brilliant nose. The nose on the fresh pour was something else, so deeply perfumed with truffle and sous-bois. Palate was a little thin with fading red fruit but still very much alive. The nose itself warranted the high score on its own, only the best Burgundies can provide this kind of magic.
