  May 4, 2015 - incorrectly decanted this and im certain it's better on pop and pour. heat was prominent after too much air, but the fruit was still complex and very enjoyable. improved with pizza.

  May 3, 2015 - Dark garnet and plum purple with edge thinning and medium viscosity in the glass. Nose of fig, stewed plum, bramble, mushroom an dusty attic. Medium body, rustic and a touch of jamminess. Stewed plum, brambly dark fruit, muddy earth, black tea, currant and secondary sweet spice on the palate. Medium finish. Fun to taste aged Cali zin, but this one left me bored after a couple mouthfuls.

  November 6, 2013 - Interesting but somewhat over the hill and drying out. Lost its varietal character, but decent aged wine. Should have consumed much sooner.
