January 31, 2019 - Decanted 3 hours before dinner then re-bottled for dinner. Very nice, excellent QPR for $20 in 2010

May 5, 2018 - Aerated 1+ hr prior to blind tasting event, then re-bottled. Very similar to my notes of over 6 years ago, but not as much raisin. Still quite fruity for its' age.

May 10, 2016 - Tannicbeast pretty well nailed the tasting note. I kicked it up a point because it went so well w/a pork cutlet meal --- the wine gave great flavor to the pork which was not seasoned except with mild gravy. A cheese plate of some soft French fromage and bread after the meat, than a glass alone killed the bottle. Definitely got money's worth with this one. Glad I gave it prolonged rest before finally drinking as it was mellow with dark fruit, lingering flavors.

February 12, 2016 - The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity, with captivating aromas of ripe black and red cherry, sweet spice, dried herbs, nougat and sweet tobacco leaf. The palate is dry, but with still plenty of ripe black and red fruit. The palate is consistent with the nose and ends with a long, slightly bitter, licorice and asian spice finish. The acidity and tannins are medium. The alcohol is medium (+) at 14.5%, but overall the wine is well-balanced. It is full-bodied, yet fairly lithe, without the monolithic weight and extraction of some of the more famous Amarones. It is good by itself and even better with food, without overpowering the food. It is drinking well now and is by no means past its prime.

April 29, 2015 - Upon opening, very rich in the mouth with some chocolate flavors. Over time, this seemed to subside, and the rest of the bottle was still very flavorful

April 18, 2015 - Very sweet dark fruit and lots of vanilla in an inviting way. Full bodied and packed with fruit but not overly complex. On the other hand a lot better than expectations. Nice maturity level but I would drink up now.
