September 24, 2022 - I love the bouquet here unmistakeably Sherry with yeast, nuts and dates, huge minerality and freshness. The palate is finely balanced, maybe slightly watery on the midpalate, but then the chalky finish lasts literally for minutes. Lovely Fino. 17/20

July 11, 2022 - Nose isn't that exciting -- pungent and dried fruit. But the palate... excellent. Long long long forever finish with a mouth-filling structure with tightly defined edges like a small candy bar-shaped presence starting from 1/3 back on the tongue to the back of the tongue. All nuts and yeast and wax in a delightful and harmonious balance.

(Update after more time in the glass: nose is chock full 'o nuts, particularly hazelnuts, and lovely)

May 15, 2022 - Beautiful combination of intensity and everything you love about Fino. Drank this with a table full of cheese, charcuterie, conservas, and boquerones and it was a great accompaniment. Salinity, nuts, yeast all firing on all cylinders.

November 16, 2021 - erved first at Connection by Alan Bates, then at home for Sherry Week 2021. Golden in appearance. Nose is 100% fino - flor, dried nuts and raisins, oranges. Wide, muscular palate, incredibly dry, almonds, yeast. Bitterness, citrus, lively acidity. Dry, long finish. Sherry Week 2021

April 1, 2020 - This is a deep, dark golden color with slight hints of tawny. This has the most intense flor-aged nose I've ever come across. This is super intense and aged on the palate as well. If only this had more acid, it would be the perfect stinky seafood (squid in ink tonight, but fried smelt, anchoas, anything like that) wine! Difficult to rate! Impressive, but maybe too intense. 92+?

October 9, 2019 - Forte, dourado profundo, ainda mostrava toda sua intensidade. No nariz avelas, na boca salinidade forte e exuberante, minerais, sal e sabores poderosos do Sherry. Equilibrado e longo.

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like hazelnut and mineral. It tastes like mineral, sherry, stoniness, intense salinity and pungent flavors. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
