April 2, 2020 - Good cork on a well stored bottle. Most of the fruit is gone, leaving some dry rose petal notes and a hint of leather. Well past it’s prime

May 10, 2018 - I opened my last bottle after work on 5/10/18. It had a rich, earthy bouquet of blackberry, blueberry, plum, dirt, leather, licorice, pepper and spice aromas. The palate was rich, dry and a little disjointed with flavors of blackberry, blueberry, plum, leather, licorice, spice and minerals (definitely a little over the hill).

August 26, 2017 - I had this with smoked pork ribs on 8/26/17. It had a subtle, reserved bouquet of blueberry, blackberry, plum, vanilla, licorice, pepper and spice aromas. The palate was bitter and slightly disjointed with flavors that followed the nose.

I don't know if this was a bad bottle or just over the hill. I have one left and will try it soon.

June 22, 2016 - NR. Sadly, I think I waited to long to pop this one....... overly syrupy, which is not how I remember Bob's classy, elegant Charbono
