Community Tasting Notes 8

April 3, 2024 - Subdued nose with light earth and licorice notes. Lighter bodied with a mix of red and darker fruits. Some earthy notes again. The tannins have mostly softened. This bottle is decent but it seems a little diluted and the fruit has faded. I have a couple bottles left, and I’ll drink them sooner than later. Tajarin would be a good pairing.

October 9, 2020 - Youthful color. The nose shows slightly maiderized aromas of dried red fruits, leather, minerals, orange peel and earth. This is medium bodied on the palate with very good concentration and decent class. The medium plus length finish features a shot of drying tannins. A bit tired and in need of drinking.

January 13, 2018 - I would drink this up. Wine seemed to have lost a step since I last had it. Still enjoyable. Would agree with notes of mushrooms but not much earth.

    January 12, 2018 - Mildly corked. Damn.

October 20, 2017 - A few from Vietti: Decanted for 2 hours. Earthy, mushroom and leather on the nose. Faint mint. Lighter bodied, with red fruits, slightly tart and floral. Elegant. This is the second bottle of this I have had in the last 6 months, and the wine is drinking very well at the moment. I think this well hold for a while, but I don't see in improving from here. Very good.
