    May 14, 2024 - Ruby-garnet color. Red fruit, herbs, underbrush, game on the palate. Slight tannic edge on the long finish. Great balance between the herbal and the fruit tones. Very Gevrey in character. Excellent.

    April 26, 2023 - (Mostly) Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Le Select - Chicago IL): More red than black fruit with spice notes and earth. Good+ weight and balance. A bit of new oak still protrudes on finish.

    Tons of black and pixelated red fruit; anise, spicy tones and a hint of creamy chocolate. Attractive body and balance with an airy feel and extended finish. In the window and at peak.

    February 26, 2017 - Burgundy color with a muted bouquet and flavor of cherries, giving way to chokecherries, with some hints of toast, but no distinct Pinot Noir notes. The wine had generally good balance, but with modest body and little nuance. It also had a very short finish. I had great hopes for Charmes-Chambertin, and for Perrot-Minot, but was again disappointed. This wine was better than most Burgundies that I have tasted, but a sad comparison to Oregon and California wines. For those who prefer restrained wines, you should try Domaine Serene, and for more power, Aubert.

    June 14, 2013 - Parfait sublime grandioses. Nez plus complexe que le parfum le plus complex. Rose sous bois fer amande jasmin fruits roigr... bouche souple et d'une longueur!!!!!!

    December 2, 2012 - Black fruit on nose and palate, wonderful balance, and long lingering finish. Excellent now with a bit of decanting, and has the structure to last for another 10-20 years.
