April 2, 2013 - Really light red in color. 14.2% ABV. Cherry and spice on the nose. Clove, licorice, cherries, spice, earth, damp forest floor, pomegranate, raspberries and strawberry. Lots going on here. Silky and elegant with nice acidity. Great, lingering finish. It would be really exciting to try this wine at the 10 year mark.

June 9, 2012 - Burgundian style but not barnyard, and much richer of all the Sojourn offerings. Really a different take on Pinot for them.

April 24, 2012 - The aromatics are lively with bright red fruit backed by dusty cellar, damp earth, spice, and campfire. The palate opens similarly, boasting intricate mixed red fruits with good focus and a welcome brambly quality. The mid-palate turns more savory, adding underlying components of spice, dried herbs, and rose petal. Sweet/sour red fruit, stem/smoke, and aged leather linger on the medium-long finish, all framed by sturdy tannins. It is medium bodied with a distinct intensity of flavor and lifting acidity, as well as holds nice balance between california fruit and its savory side. R&M 90
