January 8, 2017 - premox, for sure, sad cuz I remember loving these bright mineral driven wines in the 2010 - 2013 time frame

January 1, 2017 - no notes, remember this being a little brighter than the Bouchard Chev Montr we had alongside, not surprising, but this still felt like it was in jeopardy of some premature aging... I will be drinking this up asap, I remember liking these bottles better a couple years back

December 19, 2016 - Uh oh, this was true disappointment, i popped this bottle at 3pm to put half in decanter for my wife and I to enjoy, immediately tried a sip and it was unbelievable -- it literally gave me tingles in my spine and made my mouth water... my son was standing there and he asked me what was up and I made him taste it and he agreed -- it was mouthwatering and piercing (just like I like them, and he - tho only 18 - liked it too)... then about 30 minutes later my wife came down and I gave her a sip and she grimaced... I took a taste too and it had developed a strong smoke / caramel flavor... i tasted three times out of that decanter and I could get the super-citrus fruit and minerals in the background but it was marred irreparably by the premature aging, tasted the wine in the bottle and it was slightly better (i.e. hadn't turned immediately on receiving air) but not great either... just opening another bottle now -- having dumped the rest of the first down the drain -- and I will report on how it goes, again the first sip was great

December 17, 2016 - In terrific shape with fresh white fruit, anise and oyster shell, bracing acidity. This showed as sound but unexciting. Perhaps it is the middle-age doldrums (the wine, not me) or the strongly flavoured meal with which it was paired..
