June 29, 2014 - This excites me for some of the younger Relentless that we have sitting in our cellar (and also makes me convinced patience is key). Wine still on the young side, but starting to come together more. We opened it (but no decant) prob an hour or two before we started serving. Then drank the glass (against an '03 Araujo Eisele Syrah and an '07 Efeste Ceidleigh) over the course of another hour or so. Much fruiter than the Araujo, less syrup-y than the Efeste. It was very tight upon first pour, but opened up over the course of the night (in retrospect, really should have decanted). Great blackberries. Nice leather. Tasty wine.

May 31, 2014 - So much better than 2 years ago, and it was very good then. Still fairly opaque, purple with great structure. Cherry on the nose. Vanilla, white pepper and black coffee and dark fruit with soft tannins that have mellowed even more.

March 12, 2014 - Consumed at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. Outstanding effort with lots of creamy black fruit, oak and spice. This followed two single vineyard Cayuse Syrahs and more than held its own. If scoring 94-96.

February 16, 2014 - Been almost 2 yrs since last opening. Nice deep cherry nose. Little mineral, some rust, some barnyard. Tannins pretty well integrated now but latent tightness. Full bodied, fruitful, very good.

February 15, 2014 - Dark and Inky, opens up (as you can imagine) upon decanting. Very dark ripe berry fruit, you can tell that this had a lot of tannin when young. Drinking with some Tri-Tip tonight. Perfect pairing, by the way. There is some oaken finish, but creamy. Very nice wine!
