September 7, 2014 - Much the same as the bottle opened a year ago, this continues to impress. It does need opening in the morning or decanting if you forget, to give plenty of time for aeration. Once fully unwound, the bouquet is a beguiling mix of blackcurrant, raspberry liqueur and spices, with a slight earthiness and hints of flowers. In the mouth, it's big, full bodied, with blackcurrant, leading into dark cherry, then blackberry and a touch of leather, before finishing on a dusty, elegant note of typical Margaux finesse. It still needs a few more years to shed the tannins which continue to give it a slight astringency, but it could then turn into an outstanding wine.

March 12, 2014 - S FL WS Group Welcomes VinT (Chez JC & FKG, Hollywood, FL): Classic old school Bordeaux, medium body and acidity, with only 12.5% alcohol and some cedar notes on the finish. Less floral on the nose than I would have expected from a Margaux wine. After initial taste, found that some decanting was needed, which helped after about 45 mins, though the tannins still had some bite and I think this wine will still benefit from further aging.

February 8, 2014 - Needed light decanting to develop but only a touch. This is as we say the definition of a 90 wine where everything is in place, nothing bad can be said, but lacks the magic, the sparkle in a way what would make it a memorable experience. Especially given this is a 2000 we expected a lot more 89 and drink now

October 4, 2013 - Margaux nose that positively takes hold of you; floral, rich. Cherry, violets, big fruit, lead pencil, cigar box, extremely fine tannins maintaining a pleasing tannic grip through the finish.
