    August 27, 2023 - Dark garnet with earthy cherry fruit, a bit of camphor, and beautiful balance. More fruit than typical for this wine, but deep with good acid. Tannins have resolved and this is drinking beautifully right now. Still has at least 5 good years left.

    May 29, 2022 - Double magnum.
    In this format, the wine is still drinking well.
    However, the wine is clearly approaching the end.
    Here, still good texture and balance, lacks a little complexity

    March 13, 2022 - From 1.5 ml magnum. Nose showed lots of saddle leather and earthy aromas, some subtle piney red fruit.

    Palate was very rewarding with earthy red and black cherry accented by leather and earthy notes that are perfectly balanced. The red fruit was still quite fresh and the tannin mostly integrated, but still slightly firm, giving the wine good weight and structure on the long cherry/earth flavored silky finish.

    Excellent Barbaresco, this larger format bottle easily could have made its 20th birthday. I would drink the 750ml bottles soon.

    October 23, 2021 - 相当失望。前三次,decant6-7个小时,但都不太open。最后四分之一瓶,一两个礼拜以后,刚开瓶,不错的醋味,口中还是不open。9-10小时后,才完全打开,特征的暖,甜,微醋。涩劲还在。最后一次,91。目前的市价60刀,不值。

    July 11, 2021 - decanted one hour, served at just above cellar temp. color faded auburn to a terra cotta rim; warm baked earth & berried nose, allspice; again warm & plush on palate, all middle register fruit, damson plum, dried currant, wet clay; finishes low impact, moderately dry.

    this bottle is showing its warm year characteristics; not finished, by any means, but won't evolve positively from here.
