I liked this much more in the tasting room, or perhaps this was not one of the ones we tasted but since I got it on sale I figured I'd take a shot. This is the big new style RRV zin, not the restrained and elegant style I'm liking more. A big plus, though, it's not alcohol laden or hot in any way, making this one of the better renditions of this style.

  February 13, 2011 - Decanted and drank immediately. Color garnet. Nose of red fruit, some aroma's of vanilla and oak. Palate is medium bodied more like a pinot than a Zin. Soft spiciness with pleasing tingly finish. Easy drinking and enjoyable. Would definitely buy this again especially for $10. 50,5,12,14,5=86

  February 3, 2011 - Medium body zinfandel, easy to drink, nothing crazy good, but drinkable. Light cherry and brambleberrry flavors. ($14)
