May 23, 2016 - This was spectacular! Lots of concentrated red fruit and spice. Had some earthy elements going on and great balance with a firmly acidic finish. Everything seemed to be in balance with this bottle.

April 23, 2016 - Occasional dinner group; A vertical of 15 vintages Clos des Papes and some great extra's. (@ B in SvG): This is a great and beautifully mature wine now with in the bouquet red berries, garrigue, minerals, smoke, tobacco and a pleasant touch of barnyard. On the palate still ripe red berry fruits, garrigue, earth, beautiful acidity and still slightly sticky, very good tannin. Great length! A wonderful wine to drink now and the next 3+ years.

January 18, 2016 - Cupo granato. Il naso rapisce, con sensazioni di legno di rosa e sandalo, amarena matura, pepe, appena accennata tapenade, carne arrostita, bergamotto, bello e netto. Bocca piena, elegante, giovanissima e lunghissima. Entusiasmante

January 2, 2016 - Consistent with previous notes. beautifully elegant, burgundian balance and fragrance, long and fresh and delicious. The balance will keep this good for years but lovely now.

December 2, 2015 - 16 years old but tasting really young and soft. Surprisingly lightweight but all the better for that. A really pleasant, quality, subtle CndP. Lovely wine.
