July 1, 2017 - The 2007 Gardens of Babylon has really come together. Dense and intense yet balanced. Clear notes of blackberry and black pepper. Full bodied (and then some) Perfectly mature now but should keep well for years to come.

October 14, 2015 - Packs a wallop, but a lovely reminder of why in my meat eating days I was on the Scholium list. Big, boysenberry fruit flavored with spice and still lots of acidity 8 years on. Integrated tannins. We are having it with quinoa and pesto and wild mushrooms and it is a great pairing. Proof that vegetarians can enjoy big red wines.

September 6, 2015 - Big, rich and ripe. Almost a dessert wine. Well made and tasty, but ......

April 11, 2015 - Youthful, structured, yet quite rich showing. Not very complex though. Will it ever be?

February 5, 2013 - Really, really dense. After a lot of airing, it really starts to open up. Cinnamon and spice. Very very interesting (as always with Scholium). Great wine. Love to serve Scholium wines to people that haven't tried it before.
