July 10, 2016 - Toast on the nose, somewhat mute overall, extracted palate, sour lemon, pineapple and tropical fruits. Really nice length and acidity.

July 9, 2016 - Marks duckhouse – La Las, 02 HB, 01 Pavie, CSH, Leflaive, QdC and etc. (Marks duckhouse, Falls Church, Va): Bright ripe yellow fruits, lemon curd, granny smith, banana, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, strong presence of mineral and acidity, lovely tension and precision and long acid and mineral driven finish. Extremely consistent showing, i.e. quite ripe yet maintains very good tension and precision. Really wonderful showing.

June 23, 2016 - A small impromptu dinner with Trip B (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner): Really interesting and education to serve along with the 05 Sauzet Batard. Rich yellow pit fruits, lemon curd, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, dense ripe yellow fruit driven palate impression, good mineral expression, very bright acidity and clean medium to long finish. The fruit expression is not as polished as the Sauzet Batard. It is a riper style of Puligny 1er cru but maintains lovely tension and precision. This wine is incredibly consistent year in and year out.

June 17, 2016 - First bottle was oxidized, with a dark color, sherry and butterscotch flavors -- basically undrinkable. Second bottle was light yellow in color, with a powerful nose of white flowers, lime and slight reduction. Light- to medium-bodied, with a green apple and mineral character, somewhat Chablis-like in fact. Finishes very long, with a serious lip-smacking cut and a saline-like quality. Tastes very young, and correct bottles will no doubt be great for years to come. Unfortunately, aging this wine at this point in its development is risky, and I intend to drink my remaining two bottles over the next year. Great stuff when not oxidized. 94.

May 25, 2016 - Hard to imagine enjoying a white burgundy more than this. Minerality and acidity are at the forefront, but there is serious body and bounce to this wine! A hint of white flowers on both nose and palate. Deep fruit. Looong finish with lots of residual complexity. I know there are bad bottles put there, as there are with seemingly all whit burgundies. But this was not one of them.
