August 16, 2012 - Was worried this might be a little old.........but it turned out to be very good. Lovely nose followed by the first sip with muted bramble. Had with veal chops with mushroom cream sauce. Turned out to be a good combo. The depth of the wine was still solid but it finished with me wanting a little more. either way I got to drink most of the bottle.......and enjoyed/!

August 20, 2011 - Our last of 3 bottles purchased over 5 years ago, I was a bit worried that it might be past it's prime but this really opened up after a few minutes and was simply wonderful, perhaps either at, or nearing the end of it's window it was quite 'fruitless' at first, but then the bramble came through and it was tasty and very interesting, I would probably recommend 'drinking up' for the 177 bottles still in the CT community - Dark red, full bodied with a nose of bramble, plum, cherry, spice and vanilla, excellent structure, balance and complexity, sweet, smooth on the palate with terrific length (93 Points).

June 4, 2011 - Delectable, but past its prime. Went well with our grilled pork chop.

January 11, 2009 - Great zin. Opened slightly vegetal. After 30 minutes, those notes blew off, leaving a wine with a nose of raspberry, underbrush, sage, and pepper. Palate features juicy raspberry, black cherry, currant, pepper, and spice. Drinking really well now.

April 24, 2008 - Sweet fruit on the nose, full bodied with lots of spicy fruit on the palate and a great finish. Loved it, wish I had more than one bottle left.

April 6, 2008 - Loads of fruit and pepper on the nose; plenty of black fruit, leather, and tobacco on tasting. Paired well with good old spaghetti and meatballs. A very nice wine and improves with opening over a couple of hours.

December 2, 2007 - Tremendous fruit, body, spicy red fruit palate, long finish. Best of tasting tonight vs the Eastern Exposures and the Atlas Peak.

September 28, 2007 - This was somewhat of a rollercoaster (not sure that's correct terminology for wine). I let it breathe for 15 minutes or so and after the first sip thought it had turned. Let it open for another 30 minutes and it was a little better so I had hopes for it. Had a glass after an hour and thought it was ok - put it in the fridge and went to bed. The next evening came and WOW. Much better - couldn't believe it was the same bottle. Took a long time to open up but my patience paid off. Good stuff.

June 16, 2007 - Very nice, quite a bit more complexity that the Ridge 3 Valleys we had earlier - It was dark purple, with medium concentration, very fruit forward with oak on the nose, smooth on the palate without a burn considering the high alcohol, with a nice finish (89 Points).
