May 20, 2011 - WineGavel Tasting (San Francisco Wine Center): Lovely clear color, pure expression of raspberry; palate is juicy but simpler than other littorai pinots that I've had; medium-length finish. 90-91

July 25, 2009 - Anderson Valley Pinot is just least when it's coming from this bottle. Bundy decanted for a while, but the wine contiued to really build steam an extra hour into aeration. Plenty of structure here and also simply tasty strawberry flavor.

July 23, 2009 - One of the best pinots I've had in a long time. Tasted cherries, strawberries and cola. Wow!

December 9, 2005 - we popped another one this weekend. my wife bought me some Riedel Burgundy Somms. so we popped the les larmes. again, dry strawberries and cherries, minerals (iron as Jaimetown said). initially smoky but after a while in the decanter the dry fruit comes out. has the backbone to last, but i am really enjoying these. really benefits from some time in the glass/decanter.

these glasses are huge!!!! they really do aid in giving air to the wine. felt like i was drinking out of a fish bowl.

June 6, 2005 - straight out of the bottle this had strawberry jam wafting out of the glass and some dried strawberry/cherry on the palate in conjunction with a backbone of acidity making it a little strange/interesting to me.

after about an hour the nose become muted and there was earth and what seemed to be a significant mineral aspect on the palate.

after about 2 1/2 hours the nose came back and the taste unfolded. it was in wonderful balance with dried fruit with much more elegant a flavor than in the initial stages. stayed very "light" in the mouth throughout the night, even when deep flavor returned.

i like this a lot. won't drink another for a while if i can help it, but if i do i will decant for a while. I am enjoying these Anderson Valley pinots.
