December 6, 2015 - A wine that makes me think of Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer". Big bold and barely constrained with its body (attributed to its high alcohol) though the flavored themselves are slightly out of focus, notes of cassis, Tabacco, clove. A reminder to decant next time.

June 22, 2015 - Excellent bottle of wine - great fruit, modern style, rich, big, well structured; however, it still needs LOTS of time for the tannins to settle down. There is sufficient fruit that will be waiting patiently for this to happen, perhaps in 3-5 years! One thing to note is that it does seam a little hot alcohol wise.

November 29, 2014 - Compared to the last bottle we drank this one offers blunt manners: rough tannins, not yet embedded wood. Strange: two bottles from the same vintage - but one a gentleman and the other a crude fellow.

May 27, 2014 - The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral and stoniness. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

May 2, 2014 - I like this wine. Decanted for 2 hours prior to drinking and it could've used even more time. Basically, it's still a baby and will likely knit together more in the bottle. That said, it's dark and brooding and fairly enjoyable now. Dark fruit dominates with a good dose of cocoa powder tannins.
