May 23, 2011 - Not often do I use the term finesse with Napa Cabernet, but this wine has great finesse. The wine showcases great balance and is closer to resembling an old world cabernet than most of the wine coming out of Napa now. There are great earthy aromas mixed with pink peppercorns, wild flowers, and a touch of cigar box. The flavor profile is heavy in red cassis and leather. I am very impressed with this wine. It is a bargain for single vineyard Napa.

November 17, 2010 - We first tasted this wine at a charity benefit with about 100 other good to excellent labels. It was the Wine of The Event with mutual consent.
Amazing bouquet of roses, spice, vanilla, blue fruit. Mouth-filling but not overblown, rich fruit with softer tannins; seamless finish with lingering cedar, cigar, truffle. Yum. Swirl. Repeat.

    February 16, 2010 - http://drinknectar.com/2010/02/12/calicabs-two-great-california-cabernet/

The Stuff:100% Napa Valley Cabernet, 42 months in oak, 13%ABV, 637 cases made
The Swirl: Nice dark rust colored plum with a little translucence (almost see to the bottom of the glass)
The Sniff: I never wanted to stop smelling this wine. Floral perfume kissed me first, then gentle bright blueberry and strawberry aromas held hands and skipped through my nose. They were followed up by some mellow vanilla notes. This is the kind of wine scent you wish for in every bottle of Cabernet!
The Sip: Definitely does not disappoint – The fruit is soft and supple like a long slow French kiss. The passion builds as some spicy pepper jumps in. The finish is super balanced and longs with enough tannin to keep the wine strong with food.
The Score: At $35 this is a 5 (out of 5) wine for me. I love the complete package and would definitely buy this bottle again.

November 22, 2009 - This wine ages for 4 years in French oak prior to bottling. The result is a smooth, balanced cab that goes well with food or to drink alone.
