March 30, 2015 - Beautiful. Silky smooth. Vey balanced but great flavors, a touch of vanilla and a nice long finish.

July 4, 2012 - Alexis that is mature, but still expressive and intriguing. Musky barnyard on the nose which eventually blows off leading to
notes of dried black cherry, underbrush and raspberry. Interesting character in the middle with cedar, crushed rocks and
a dusting of coca powder. Dashes of spices echo on a earthy, long lasting finish marked by brewed coffee and smoky oak.
Drink now and into 2013.

October 23, 2011 - Mpls Does Big Domestic Reds (Fire Lake, Mpls): Very dark red. This bottle was in pretty good shape. It was a bit hot on the nose and palate. Nose has oak, spice, alcohol-mild, herbs, briar. The palate is fairly nice with good fruit, cassis, plum, oak, and some heat on the finish at times. The balance is off here a bit, but overall holding up fairly well.

February 26, 2011 - A Bunch of Wines on a Saturday Afternoon: Ruby, cloudy and flat. I think this bottle had seen better days. The nose was iron and dried cherries. Soft texture. Liqueur like. Cherry liqueur. Its ok, but I wonder about storage all these years.
