Community Tasting Notes 4

February 11, 2014 - First taste the blend was all over the place. High in alcohol. After decanting things settled down. Similar to the Prisoner.

May 14, 2013 - Nose: Really hard to see past the heat. I guess there is some black fruit and spice there, but it is really hot. Palate: Gobs of licorice, Blueberry jam and so much oak it is like a blueberry oak milkshake on the palate. Finish: Oak, Oak, Oak. Spice ... and more Oak.

Someone tried to make a prisoner look alike and missed big.

February 10, 2013 - Nice fruit; lots of berry and spice. Opened up well over 1.5 hours. Very good.

October 29, 2010 - very nice example of the 2006's. A bit raspy but great fruit and it worked really well with the variety of pasta's/meats etc on the plate.
