November 26, 2014 - From a magnum. Aromas of ripe citrus, nuts and plenty of toast. Ripe fruit in the mouth with a long finish. Forward style and more fruity than the 2009.

August 22, 2014 - Crunchy and layered with some earthy peach melba and apricot; complex with a bit of herbaceousness; some mustiness; nice long semi-sweet finish.

June 20, 2014 - Moments of oak and smooth, apricot and peach melba and tartness; complex; young and still developing.

June 16, 2014 - From 375 mL. Whoa, this is wound tight. White orchard fruit, its pit, citrus pith, cut flowers, mineral, some wood. Liquid stone. Dense, lots of raw material here. Very CC, but this is more fetal than infantile. This needs a long slumber in a cold cellar. I won't touch the rest of these splits for at least another 2-3 years. I imagine the standard format will need at least 3-5 years before being approachable. Tasted over three days.

May 27, 2014 - Latricières-Chambertin Dinner (Paris Club - Chicago IL): Open 45 minutes before tasted. Served double blind to the group alongside the 2007. I didn't know which glass had which wine. Lots of ripe apple with lots of power and intensity. Great energy and concentration. I correctly identified this as the '08.
