December 12, 2023 - Fathers' Gathering (Sushi Nakazawa): Order off the restaurant list. I am super worrying that this will be premoxed or at least tired. Very focused nose displaying rich but perfectly ripe yellow fruit, lemon curd, apple, pine needle, honey, white flowers, spicy spices, and strong crushed rocks. Excellent concentration, slightly coiled rich yellow fruit, exceptional focus and precision, bright acidity and mineral, and a long rich yellow fruit driven finish with a hint of honey and mineral at the end. With air, it shows more malo/oak which is not a bad thing.

November 4, 2023 - La Paulee, only brief impressions. This showed older than it should but was still ok and without faulty notes. A bit of orchard fruit, some floury notes and minerality, not particularly intense or precise. Fine but without any exceptionalism.
