    March 10, 2014 - Brought one of our favorite WA cabs to an HDH dinner and were the only ones who liked it. One of the attendees mentioned that they didn't know Washington made wines (and we were in Seattle!). Snobbery!!! Overall, not the most complex cab, but some nice vanilla notes on the nose.

    September 30, 2013 - This may be the best Cab we had this year. Served with a nice steak, veggies and cheesecake for dessert. Medium legs, Medium to long finish, dark ruby/inky color, hints of cassis. I agree with Sullivan about the mocha, and black cherries. Slightly strong on the spices, but becomes well balance once decanted (or stays in the glass abit). Hints of mint, though minor to other tastes. I like that it is slightly easier/lighter than other Cabs, and I could have simply enjoy it all night long without any extra. the cheesecake though (not too sweet, we prefer it just minimally sweetened) made it super. Same applies to the steak.
    We finished about 2/3 of the bottle, and we will try the rest tonight.
    94 pts. Keeping the second bottle for few years. Forecasting it will get better. (and for the price we got it, it is a pure 'steal')

    Day 2 update: We kept it in the cellar (lower level) for the night. Was as good or even slightly better day two. Tastes open up. Finish was longer. Too bad it was the end of the bottle. Uphold the grade at 94. Still, so far, maybe the best cab I had this year.

    Edited (Jan-26-2014): It was a close call for the Cab of the year 2013, and this one was a winner (not by a knock out, but certainly the one most remembered from the 2013 cabs)

    March 16, 2013 - Venturi and two hour decant. Big, rich, bold, think it could use somre more time as it was nicely integratred but think there is more life to it. Great wine, solid long finish.

    (Corliss Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley) An aromatic powerhouse with mocha, herbal notes, black cherries, black licorice, and spice box. The palate is dense and perfumed with rich waves of mouth coating dark fruit flavors accented by barrel notes and a silky texture. The finish lingers long and effortlessly. An absolutely beautiful, multiple swallow wine - among my favorites from this winery - that is drinking beautifully right now but has a long, long drinking window in front of it. The barrel influence is not shy here but has the fruit to match it. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Stillwater, Bacchus, Dionysus, and Weinbau vineyards. Aged in French oak (80% new) for 33 months. 15.1% alcohol. 624 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.

    (Corliss Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Preliminary Blend Columbia Valley) Beautifully refined and balanced fruit and tannins. A plush, full wine that is all about power. Nose is still elusive but the taste delivers.
