August 2, 2021 - Normally I do not drink on Monday's but last night was a beautiful night in NJ and I was putting a big porterhouse on the grill so I had to open a cabernet. I opened and slow ox'd for two hours. Dark fruit and mocha on the nose. The palate was dark berries, plums, tree bark and mocha. The finish was moderate to long. Went really good with the steak and grilled peaches that followed.

April 18, 2021 - Another contribution for the wine event. This and the 2003 Bressler tied for WOTN. Smooth and flavorful with flavors similar to my last note. I should look into buying more Corliss!

March 22, 2021 - Similar to my notes of last winter. A beautiful aged cabernet. Opened and slow ox'd for three hours. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate is dark berries, plums and mocha. The finish was moderate to long. Served with a dinner of leftovers that I found in the fridge.

January 21, 2021 - Really good. Smooth. Dark fruit and licorice. Amazing nose. Slightly sweet at first, then settles into a long finish. Tart at the end.

January 4, 2021 - This was delicious. It opened up nicely the evening it was opened and the remainder was even better the next day. It exceeded my expectations.

June 20, 2020 - Tannic and with great promise on opening. Over the next two hours it opened and evolved. It reminds me of some of the 60s Napa Valley Cabs with a distinct minty add to wonderful fruit. This wine has several more years, but is greatly enjoyable now.

October 30, 2019 - This one still has years left to go. Nose is tight, almost alcoholic. Very fruit forward at this point. Hopefully starts to blossom in 21

April 10, 2018 - In my last note, I indicated that I thought the wine was near its end. Tonight's bottle proves that was wrong. The wine is now balanced and delicious. A very good Washington Cab. I don't believe this is a long keeper, but it should still be excellent for the next couple of years at least.
