    April 24, 2018 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
-nearly opaque med dark red no bricking
    -relatively restrained cassis
-med/med+ acidity gives nice lift, med/med- weight fading somewhat earthy cassis plum lacking in complexity and depth, med tannins remain along with a bitter note on the finish
-pleasant, its higher acidity lighter weight profile fits well in the wheelhouse of Burgundy fans, probably not going to improve with further age

October 16, 2017 - Full mature, medium bodied, soft. fruity wine with licorice, tobacco and earthy accents to the red fruits. Drink this over the next few years, before the fruit fades. The wine was produced from blending 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot.

April 20, 2016 - A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) and Merlot (20%). Purple on the eye. Aromas of sweet dark berries and dirty, wet forest. Palate is luscious, very flavourful with soft tannins. Sipping nicely now with perhaps a few more years before sliding off into oblivion. Not the best effort we have seen from the people at Cos d'Estournel, but tres yummy at the moment and a nice way to sign off for the evening.

May 8, 2015 - Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75): Dark core with garnet rim; bell pepper, boxwood, red currant, smoke, cedar; nice density, gripping tannin, cinnamon, lower acid but good drinkability, oak, possibly struggled to ripen a bit (region and vintage maybe); called '06 St. Estephe; good.

September 28, 2014 - Still young, and certainly best on day two.

Plum, tobacco, charcoal, bing cherry. Nicely done. Will be great in a few more years.

March 14, 2014 - Very dark core with thin dull garnet; purple flowers and fruit, oak, plush, green pepper, singular and slightly pent up though more complexity developed with time in decanter, perfumed, sexy, cassis, vanilla; tasty now with air or wait a few years; a steal for the song I paid.

March 10, 2014 - Plum and cherry roll nicely into tobacco, with a little bit of almond. Lovely balance. Needs an hour or two to breathe, but ready to drink right away if you just can't wait.

Great for everyday drinking, was wonderful with pasta and red meat sauce. Exceptional QPR at $15. Wish I'd gotten a full case.

February 9, 2014 - Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of deep intensity ruby color, with legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity of black fruit such as blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant, oak notes of cedar, pungent spice of licorice, herbal notes of black tea, some maturity notes of savory. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium (+) tannin, supple but a bit grippy on texture. It has medium alcohol and medium body, showing medium intensity flavors of black fruit such as blackberry and blackcurrant, oak notes of vanilla, herbal notes of black tea, sweet spice of nutmeg. The wine has a medium finish.
Conclusion: Good quality Medoc with a fairly intense nose showing reasonable complexity, the wine has a ripe, juicy palate, but weirdly feeling a bit of petillance on the tongue. It is in balance and well-structured, with reasonable length on the finish, this wine is ready to drink now and can further develop for another 1-2 years.

January 6, 2014 - A bit astringent out of the bottle but it settles in after a bit. Better on the 2nd day. This wins based on raw power - big plumby flavor, but its pretty one-dimensional and a bit aggressive. Feels over-extracted. Glad I don't have more.
