July 10, 2022 - Black core, red rim.
Ripe black berries, blood, tar, earth, a salty edge.
Silky up front, good weight finishing with plenty of acidity and fine tannins. Still plenty of structure. Lovely dark fruits with a little blue, tar spice, soft earth, interesting, delicious drinking now but has another 5-10 in it.

  • Texas Corkscrew Likes this wine: 93 points

May 30, 2022 - This wine is holding up beautifully. Lots of fruit, very smooth, wonderful nose - probably at its peak.

January 28, 2022 - I thought this was drinking well and had plenty of life left. A friend thought it was a little bit corked.

June 3, 2021 - Big, dark, and youthful, lots of tannin. Tasty but a bit rough and austere.

  • Jkrench Likes this wine: 92 points

December 8, 2020 - Yellow reddish coloration indicative of age. Beautiful brunello Sangiovese flavors in the nose, hints of vanilla. Full of life. Fairly straight through the palate; not complex. Ends with a dry touch, still tannins alive but fine balance. Black currant, plums, delicious.
