June 29, 2021 - At peak, herbs, mature but light fruit, mushrooms, tobacco box. Soft tannins, medium body. Not as earthy as a bordeaux would be but clearly some bordeaux vibe. Slightly sweeter than bordeaux Medium long finish. A good wine at peak. Though nothing extraordinary

July 31, 2020 - Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): Deep ruby, with slightly browning edges. Pronounced nose, starting with a cocoa coffee scent, then shows some herbal, slightly fungal character. Intense flavours of ripe blackberry, chocolate, some paprika and fern leaves, and then cloves, cinnamon, tar and bit of mushrooms. Long spicy herbal and tar finish. Nice!

January 29, 2019 - Was worried this would not be too good as it was stored for several years out at varying room temp in a friend's restaurant. Was showing a fair amount of bricking in the color as an aged wine might. Tasted just fine right out of the bottle and really developed quite nicely with time in the decanter. The wine developed nicely and was a very pleasant wine to drink.

July 31, 2017 - No question these old ones have to be decanted it takes at least 2 to 3 hours for it to open up they are much better than I thought

December 6, 2014 - Maria and I were very impressed. Despite the substantial markup at Carnevino in Vegas, this was well worth it. Rich, bright flavors of plum and pomegranate, with graphite and toasty oak in the background. Nice balance of new and old world style.

July 26, 2014 - Very good, but too young. Revisit in 3+ years time or decant for at least a couple of hours.
