    January 22, 2022 - WHAT A WINE
Drinking this 2007 together with 2006. The difference is huge. As the 2006 is a solid upper class wine with power and lengths, the 2007 offers more dimension. Like a big Bordeaux from a great year. It has the typical super-appealing broad and smooth palate of so many ripe black fruits. It is never stringent and always like silk. 2006 more severe, stand-alone an appealing wine with lots of what you are looking for. But it does not go further. The 2007 is miles ahead and a poem, on top now!
Day 2: still the same beauty. No remarkable change. The 2006 obviously needs time to open, this 2007 is easy out of the bottle. Great stuff!

December 6, 2020 - Brick rimmed edges. Bright red belly. Lots of red fruit and burned tar on the nose. Lots of red fruit and liquorice on the palate. Good integration and equilibrium of constituents. At its peak drinking window. Probably last another 2 years or so.

October 9, 2019 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #142; Vertical De Toren Fusion V plus some ringers (By RG): Dark and red berries, sweet spices, chocolate, cedar and some bell pepper in the bouquet. On the palate juicy dark berries, licorice, chocolate, herbs and spices, fresh acidity and tannin with still a pleasant bite, although there is some development as well. Beautiful wine in a perfect drinking stage now and probably the next few years. 92+

February 13, 2017 - A great vertical tasting at Wine professionals in Amsterdam
    from 2001-2013. All wines between 90-93. the top 3 was 12, 01 and 09.

for me comparable to 08. A little bit tired, reminds me from his oxidative style to a Rioja, I would drink it now

March 11, 2016 - MM’s belayed birthday; a mixed set of whites, reds, and sweet wines. (@ MM): Consistent with last year's note. Beautiful wine which is ready now and still has a future of a few years.
