March 6, 2013 - ChTR kokous 06.03.2013 (SKO-toimisto): Decanted, tasted double blind. This was quite a dark red wine with perhaps a hint of browning on the edges. The nose was quite pleasant with rasberry, blackberry and a hint of smoke, some licorice after some aritime. The palate was easy, not much tannins, dark berries, quite acidic. A nice enough wine, no faults, quaffable.
August 10, 2011 - Worked well with grilled pork rolled in bacon.
January 3, 2010 - Great blackberry fruit, smoke, plum, and dark cherry. Full-bodied, rich and mouth-filling.
December 14, 2009 - Another great vintage from Cycles. This is punchy out of the gate with rich, rip blackberries. Easy drinker.
August 17, 2009 - Another solid bottle, if not as impressive for the money as before. Plenty of blackberry, but fairly monolithic, and even a little tart in the mouth.
July 2, 2009 - No bottle variation in this. another superb fruity bottle with some complexity. Excellent finish!
May 25, 2009 - Another super bottle bottle. This is such a great value! True Syrah fruit. Balanced, fruity, good acid, and tannin. Impressive for the money. No, it's not a marquee complex wine, but boy, it's fun to drink.
May 11, 2009 - Beautiful color, and a really impressive effort for the money. Rich nose, full of kirsch, black pepper, licorice, and spice. The palate is just loaded with rich, dark fruits. It is not over extracted, or over-ripe, but it is dense and ripe. Full Syrah fruit, with lots of dark fruits, like black raspberry, ripe strawberry, and dark cherry. Shows some tannin, and a little acid, but the fruit is the star.
