    December 7, 2014 - Color: medium light red
    Nose: for me the classic Barolo nose, the best nose for the night in a Barolo evening that included 2000 elio altare arborina, 2004 Azelia vighera reserva and 2005 Giacomo conterno francia
    Palate: medium bodied, lovely balance, good Barolo with time left

    October 14, 2014 - Light to medium body color with good viscosity. The bouquet is definitely Barolo in all the classical sense, with fresh cut flowers, leather, engulfed by nice toasted oak with thick tannins. The acidity is very crisp however balanced and the tannins all present showing that this wine can last for much longer. Perfect accompaniment to my slowly braised oxtail with mushroom risotto. If looking for elegance over power, this is what you need. Perfecto! 93+.

    September 13, 2014 - Had it at dinner together with lamb shank but I didn't take any notes. Opened the bottle 10 hours before dinner with one hour in decanter. Showed nice, red fruit and pretty well integrated oak. Still young, but went well with the dish, but a bit rough without any food at this age. I will wait some years before opening the next though.

    February 27, 2014 - A private lunch (Restaurant De Burgemeester *, Linschoten, Netherlands): About as classical as Barolo gets. Relatively mature garnet; subtle and layered aromas, wood and flowers, fruit and a hint of nutty development, deep; intense and energetic, a wall of tannins buffered but not cancelled out by ripe fruit; very good length, cold tea and herbs. Drinking well now and over the next ten years.
