January 23, 2022 - I’m tempted to give this an even higher score, and I probably will when I drink my next bottle. This has the beautiful, distinct aroma of Brick House Pinot noir, lovely balance and texture in the mid-palate, and a long savory finish with just a bit of tartness and tannin at the end, suggesting it will hold up and even improve in the next year or two. Perhaps the closest thing to Volnay in Oregon, though admittedly from one of our best vintages and with plenty of age.

May 25, 2020 - Spectacular! Weirdly my notes are InVisioble in the iPad app. I feel like a spy.

August 17, 2019 - Brickhouse Study (chicago, IL): Nose: The nose is heady, perfumed, and layered with red cherries, strawberries, red berries, pomegranate, morning dew, violets, rose petals, wild flowers, spice tones, and a touch of herbs. This is a nose that is easy to get lost in with loads of depth.

Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. The structure still shows some youth but underneath lies a regal and refined feel with red cherries, strawberries, pomegranate, rose petals, wild flowers, and spice notes.

Overall: This is tremendous. There is still a primary quality to the fruit but it has gone to another level with great depth and perfume. The structure still shows off youth for more aging though this is a stunner right now.

August 17, 2019 - Brick House Survey (1995-2015): Star of the line-up today. Such intensity and depth in the spice and musk filled aromas. Palate has terrific depth and concentration with layering and intensity throughout. All in a lively frame.

August 17, 2019 - Brick House survey (Chicago, IL): Almost the unanimous favourite tonight; this was indeed a brilliant bottle of pinot. It balances lots of tart but ripe red fruit so well. High acid, bright, and just a flashy wine that's not overweight. Lithe and elegant, and so nice to drink right now.
