• Rezy13 Does not like this wine:

March 17, 2024 - A bit deeper yellow gold, fatter bubbles at first but when it settled they got finer and looked very enticing; age evident on the nose, slightly musty, soft bruised apple, not full on cidery but leaning more that direction, toast and obvious yeast development, golden fruit; weirdly flat on entry then incredibly sharp and sour on the finish to the point of hurting my throat- never had that happen, am I being poisoned for drinking Champagne on St Patty’s Day?

January 4, 2024 - Pale lemon colour. Apple and lemon dominate the nose, light brioche and grilled almonds added on the palate. Dry and high acidity, fine, persistent mousse. Long finish. Not especially complex but a very good quality aperitif champagne. Has the structure and fruit to age further and perhaps develop some more complexity. I expected more given the provenance, the long ageing (4 years min) and 40% reserve wine share. But still very enjoyable.

November 22, 2023 - Solid, better when warmed up, probably not worth the price of 80

March 8, 2023 - Solera HoReCa sortimentsprovning (Operaterassen, Stockholm): (Disgorged in 2022, base year 2017 with 40% reserves, 100% Chardonnay, dosage 5 gr/L)
Lovely youthful nose showing yellow apples, minerals and opens up with butter and some roasted coffee in a very pleasant way. Softened yellow apples acidity with a butter and creamy mid and some lime zest bitterness on the finish.
(Probably best with 0-5 years extra cellaring)

December 7, 2022 - Salon Focofi Paris walkabout and dinner, so no detailed tasting notes. From Jero. This showed much better than I expected. Lovely mature brioche notes, generous palate.

October 5, 2022 - Aged for six years. Only CHardonnay and only Grand Cru. And pretty darn stinky on the nose. Probably 2015 and a later disgorgement. Disgorged 1 - 18 months apartly. And 40% reserve wine being 2014-2012. And extra brut 5.5. dosage. The "regular" is 5 dosage. Much more exotic and toasty she notes. A gastronomic Champagne if you will. Really super long. Toasty and powerful.

May 11, 2022 - So much minerality, toasty. Not sure why but this bottle reminds me of the Piper Heidsieck Rare 2008.
A little sweeter than normal. Don’t recall it being like this at all. Better than the previous few bottles.

March 17, 2022 - Getting a little bit of citrus on the nose. Minerality is still there. On the palate, it is still simplistic. Medium finish. Acidity is getting up there. Why is this champagne so expensive? Should be half the price max.

November 22, 2021 - Le Tour de Champagne-Perswijn-Amsterdam-11/22-2021: a bit closed bouquet, juicy midtaste, firm, even a bit angular (a bit too young?) in the aftertaste.
