May 1, 2020 - Don't decant this wine, I saw previous tasters decant it four several hours, don't do this. It's a very delicate wine, in it's prime. Why would you decant it, try it first!
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like raisin, prune, hay/straw, mint, thyme and eucalyptus. It tastes like thyme, oregano, eucalyptus and mushroom. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

April 24, 2020 - Decanted three hours. The nose is a little muted but mostly lead pencil and a little red fruit. The palate is fully mature and has entered the secondary phase. Black fruit, lead pencil, leather and herbs this has a reasonably classic palate but feels a bit short and lacking in complexity. Drink up- this is at peak.

September 23, 2019 - Weekly tasting group RWP #345; Some random wines (@ JvdH): Beautifully developed bouquet with autumn and stable smells. On the palate a touch of sweetness, chocolate, tobacco, juicy acidity and a pleasant touch of sweetness. Very complete wine. At its perfect peak NOW!

October 21, 2018 - A pleasant surprise. Drinking very well, very restrained and plush. Lovely bottle.

January 22, 2015 - Even at this point, youthful, tannins right there when PNP, this should be decanted. Different initial impression as it hit the tongue compared to prior two, but not too much bottle variation. First night, a bit brutish, disjointed, but on second night, big, integrated, cedar, a little spicy, rich chocolate. I have pulled this several times because of its age, and because of its low cost, to let some of my other bordeaux rest longer, and I have to stop and give this a few more years at least
