January 11, 2017 - Nice, elegant, but showing its age. At the edges a brown rim and recognizable acidity, but also still a joy to taste, just a tad less than the Durfort-Vivens '53; a good weekend for my friend Loek (see also the Louis Latour '53 Aloxe-Corton).

January 6, 2010 - Two weeks after the nearly perfect Branaire '52, this wine showed more maturity and old tones, but had preserved a good balance.
Presented by my friend Loek at his birthday party just after the Dead Arm shiraz 2001, it was a difficult start, but besides the difference
in power this wine showed deepness from the terroir. A fragrant, but stylish old man with lots of dignity.
