January 22, 2023 - I have to start by saying that the little I know with pinot is red burg and this is so different but I will try to rate this without the conditioning. Great dark fruit aromatics on the nose. Symmetrical on the palate with good weight and fruit. This wine has kept better than I expected before I first tasted it. I think it is still quite primary in its evolution. If you are a Cab/Bordeuax coming to burg, or this is your pinot style, this is a magical pinot with all the body, fruit and weight with tons of elegance. I feel it would pair so nicely with a great USDA Prime steak. Crowd pleaser for many for sure. A burg drinker would have stuff to whine about. Once I put those notions aside, I didn't have to try at all, to appreciate this for what it is. This one is a work of art, and gives me a good feel for what the terrior can do and what they were aiming for. Better than the 115/667 bottling from the same vintage.

January 11, 2020 - Drinking absolutely perfect right now. Rich dark cherry and delicious earthy funk developed from age. The tannins have completely subsided so you can pop and sip it but the body is still commanding and the fruit is all there. Drink soon because this is the pinnacle of this vintage.

December 24, 2018 - Drinking at peak of its perfection. Cherry and cola, soft tannins and no fruit bomb. Long finish leaves you wanting more. Age has been good to this bottle.

May 19, 2017 - Very much enjoyed. Drank surprisingly well with only a 20 minute decant. Full bodied pinot. Will drink well for two or three more years.

April 13, 2017 - Wow! Beautiful pinot noir. Dark burgundy in color. Great nose of strawberries, raspberry liquor and subtle smoke. Lovely balance and texture. Drinking beautifully...
