October 30, 2016 - Drank with Diane & Ray & Marianne.
A soft, yet fruit forward merlot which was smooth and pleasant, but not much life left. Drink soon. Interesting compared to the WS tasting note -- this has mellowed in its old age into a smooth merlot.
December 18, 2015 - Soft and mellow without being flabby. Not much nose, just a hint of spice. Lots of cherry and more spice on the tongue. Tannins are fairly subdued. Paired well with red meat, farro in cheese sauce and broccoli.
September 6, 2015 - Still drinking well and displaying ample flavors.
October 3, 2014 - Still going along with seemingly lots of life ahead. Solid core of fruit with medium tannins
January 22, 2012 - medium bodied merlot, with more tannins than a typical merlot, but seems to match Klipsun wines.
Good fruit and a good finish.
December 28, 2011 - Very good but light for a merlot - I expected a heartier wine from Januik. Fortunately I have 2 more bottles and will wait at least a year before having them.
August 22, 2010 - Not much of a nose. Light bodied for a Merlot. Slightly Jammie and tannins a little strong. This may have been better with a couple more years on the cellar.
