June 4, 2015 - This bottle was brought generously by a friend to the casual session, which she got it from a recent auction. But pity the wine was less than desirable with mild oxidation.
The appearance is unusually dark, showing opaque inky black, cloudy core with dark brownish rims. Subtle but oxidized nose, some nutty and toffee characters along with coffee liqueur and tea leaf.
On palate, soft with nutty, caramel and toffee notes with a sweet taste. Some sweet fruit bury underneath. It has good finish and tannins has fully dissolved. Pity.

June 16, 2012 - Roland's boys dinner (Strip House): complex notes of herbs, earth, truffle and some lingering sweet fruits. still holding well at end of night. a really pleasant surprise.
