May 15, 2023 - Honey, some slight oxidised notes, asparagus. Cream on the attack, superbly balanced. No rough edges at all. On the palate, initially some orchard fruit which gave way to ripe, candied lemons. Stony minerality on the finish. Drinking superbly even on the 2nd day of being opened. Marvelous.

March 14, 2023 - Beautiful light gold color. Expressive nose displaying sweet yellow fruit, grapefruit, yellow peach, starfruit, honey, lanoline, a hint of petrol, vanilla and mineral. Fully integrated palate, nicely layered generous yellow fruit, warm and round, medium acidity, strong mineral, and a medium to long ripe yellow fruit driven finish with a hint of petrol at the end. This is still drinking nicely.

May 19, 2022 - Still displaying pale color. Expressive nose displaying cool yellow fruit, quince, lemon curd, cantaloupe, honey, honeysuckle, lanoline, vanilla/oak and crushed rocks. Excellent concentration, concentrated sweet but cool yellow fruit, razor like focus, bright acidity, strong mineral, and a long concentrated cool yellow fruit driven finish with lanoline and honey at the end. The finish is bone dry. Even after almost four decades, this remain very fresh and youthful.

July 19, 2018 - Still quite youthful, lanoline, honey, honeysuckle, melon, kiwi, honeysuckle, a hint of vanilla/oak and mineral. Excellent concentration, concentrated sweet yellow fruit, medium acidity, good mineral presence and a medium to long yellow fruit and lanoline driven finish with a hint of oak and honey at the end. For my palate, this is more of a fall wine than summer wine.

April 22, 2017 - White Bordeaux wine is much stronger in this vintage than the red, and Domaine de Chevalier is at the top of the pack. Showing its nose of vanilla, lemon, flowers, honey and stone, the wine is medium bodied, supple textured and still offers freshness and waxy, fruit in the finish. No reason to wait to open a bottle if you have one, however,
