June 7, 2017 - Drank from half bottle at Auberge de l'Ill. clearly benefited from the decanting. Should excellent balance, excellent G-C character and very good length and intensity for a village appellation. Full size bottles probably need a little more time.

April 18, 2017 - Partially developed with lots of exciting spices and ripe fruit. A very well balanced wine giving perhaps its most right now. Would not wait longer with these if you have any left. They are very enjoyable right now. This is much the same as my last bottle 9 months ago.

April 1, 2017 - Wines Tasted at HDH Auction (Tru Restaurant - Chicago IL): Small glass, brief note. As much red frui vs black. Leaner style textures than usual for Rousseau, but still good concentration. Best to enjoy younger.

April 1, 2017 - HDH Burgundy Auction (Chicago, IL): Very lovely red-fruited Gevrey. This bottle gives me hope that my fears about 2008 have been slightly overblown, especially after a slightly dessicated Rousseau Charmes that I had a few years ago. The nose on this shows classic crispy red fruits -- very light and pretty. Lots of tart fruit on the palate as well. This is incredibly classic as far as 2008 comes; quite ethereal really, but a bit more concentration would be in order.

November 19, 2016 - Really drinking well. Bricking with a nice nose. A complex and interesting palate, meat and herbs integrated with some nice fruit. Very pretty wine right now, hard to believe this will get much better.
