June 17, 2023 - Definitively a Chard with some age. Darker yellow in color. Honey and lemon, still a slight floral scent on the nose. Well rounded on the mouth, a bit glycerine. Paired well with a chorizo, corn and scallop dish.

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon and honeysuckle.

A bit tart but off tilt with heat. 14.8% ABV

December 23, 2017 - Drink now. On the verge of waiting too long. Otherwise, this wine is a staple for what a California Chardonnay should be like. Buttery and smooth.

May 29, 2017 - Stellar. Incredible citrus and apple notes. Great acidity and balance with a great long finish. After just drinking the '07 and regretting waiting too long this bottle was awesome.

April 29, 2017 - This Chard will be missed!! Shaffer Red Shoulder Ranch has taught me in spades that a well produced Chard with a bit of reasonable age can convince you that white wine is absolutely delightful in the right moment. I'm officially a new fan!

April 9, 2017 - Absolutely stellar Cali CHARD from a major quality producer. Buttery fruit forward perfectly well aged. Great experience.

September 18, 2015 - Popped and poured and was an obvious New World Chardonnay from the first whiff. Has great acid and the oak is defiantly in check, but still the ripeness of the fruit makes it obvious what it is. Checks in at 14.8% Alcohol, but with the large fruit profile balances out nicely. Not my style of wine, but very good for what it is. If you are looking for a fruit forward, California Chardonnay, this is a great choice.
