November 9, 2018 - Very elegant style here with pale red fruits beginning to show some complexity; licorice, cinnamon, leaves, whiff of onion compote, celery salt, smoke and game come through in a very whispy fashion. Fine tannins. Appears to be drinking quite good at the moment. Not sure about long term aging. Who knows.
November 9, 2018 - Tasted blind: Having a bit of a head cold (and probably operating at 80-85%) this was the perfect wine for the situation! Effusive nose of dried cherry and cranberry with strong autumnal underpinnings (something I pretty much never find in a younger wine); guessed this to be 10 years older than it is; that enchanting nose just gushes with fruit, some blood iron character and black tea. So fresh yet starting to show some secondary development's on the way. I consider myself now educated on what 80% whole clusters can do! WOW!
December 2, 2017 - @ acyso's with salil: So pretty.
December 2, 2017 - Wines with Salil et al.; 12/1/2017-12/3/2017 (Chicago, IL): Incredible nose -- this is so, so pretty. There is such insane crystalline purity of fruit and flower here. This is a wine with a very light touch, and showing incredibly well. It's a lot cleaner than than 2008 Lafarge Ducs that I had a week(?) ago, as well, as well as a little less advanced. But the palate is a little thin and shows a lot of acidity and tannin. Delicious and gorgeous now, if that thinness doesn't bother you too much.
December 1, 2016 - Intens markjordbærfrukt etter 1,5 times dekantering, bringebærtoner etter 2-3 timer, jord, krydder, fjøs, strålende lengde, elegant. Flott vin.
September 11, 2016 - a very pure, pretty nose of violet, pomegranate, blood orange, tea spice, vivid minerality and rose water come about readily. Crunchy and fresh in the mouth with well-integrated acidity. This could stand a bit more time in bottle, as the fruit is still primary. Very delicate and energetic to drink today. Lots of potential.
October 7, 2012 - A stemmy character dominates for the first couple of minutes, but quickly fades into the background as an intoxicating floral fragrance develops. This really transforms and develops with air, unraveling more nuances with a core of incredibly fresh red fruits framed by fresh earth, bright florality and stony mineral accents. There's a sense of real purity and lightness here, and even though it's incredibly young it's absolutely stunning to drink now with the tannins very silken and a really bright acid spine beneath the fruit.
June 6, 2012 - Smaking med Etienne de Montille: Mild nese av deilig, lett rødbærsfrukt med flott sødme og noe jordlige toner. Mørk og tett i frukten med god konsentrasjon og et godt grep i munnen. Milde, tørre tanniner i avslutningen. Lang ettersmak. La ligge. 92-93 P
