Community Tasting Notes 1

March 14, 2012 - A Trip to Bern's Steakhouse (Round 2) (Tampa, FL): This wine opened very tight, and needed some time to open up. It had some very odd notes early on of cranberry and sulfide.

Nose: Plum, Raspberry and Earth notes. Slight leather/herb note as well. Palate: Elegant on the palate and fully resolved with very lively berry notes. As the wine aired the depth of flavor and intensity of the sage notes grew. Finish: Lingered showing raspberry, tart blackberry, black pepper and herbs.
