February 19, 2024 - What to say….It was a pure pleasure to smell , gentle notes of rose , spice and the green thing that makes DRC wines so different from other good wines. And the taste…WONDERFULL and you just smile and smile….Some years ago we got the 07 and must say that this , 08 , was a step up. Respect.

February 6, 2024 - Today side by side Eche, GE and RSV 08 slightly surprisingly only my #3 but must be said all four 08s showed really well. The Tache was the least pure in terms of mouthfeel to me, it felt slightly more extracted vs especially RSV and GE and as a result lacked the effortlessness. It was though the most voluminous on the mid palate and certainly had an extra gear in that respect.

February 5, 2024 - Super mature for its age. The same experience is my last couple bottles, but in the context of 14 and 15 this did not show as well. Still darn tasty

December 16, 2023 - Wow aromas of roses, tar, and strawberries. Flavor is a bit constrained with candied red fruits, pepper, and a hint of vanilla, silky smooth with a balanced fresh finish. If only the palate matched the nose. A bit of a letdown. Still wonderful, if not one of the greats. Needs an hour in a decanter to open up.

October 16, 2023 - Same experience. Looks advanced but so amazing and expressive.

August 10, 2023 - While I absolutely loved this, I have to acknowledge it is a strange La Tache. Very cloudy and brown already. Wild, brambly red fruit and amazing spice on the nose. Super expressive on the palate, but without the harmony of a La Tache. Blind I would have thought Prieur Roch or even an 04 Leroy. This was clearly better than those, but similar chracteristics.

April 28, 2023 - Served blind, and my reaction was exactly as last time, I was served this, showing some sort of consistency, I guess. I guessed the vintage, thinking of Duvault-Blochet; this is chalky vibrant, vertical with great, great length. Still a young wine, has hardly moved in the three years since I tasted it last.

    April 14, 2023 - 00533. Drinking together with 66, 87, 95, 99, 05, 11, 17 la tâche 99 is the best but 08 is the most special one. It’s so different from other bottles.

Aroma of perfume, flower, purple grapes, Cinnamon, white pepper, spices, Prunes.

Medium acidity, m+ tanning It’s very sweet and beautiful, not with the typical la tache structure.

October 8, 2022 - 08 RSV/Richebourg/LT. Clearly the most rich, concentrated and intense of the three. Near perfect levels of spice and whole cluster intensity interwoven with rich, sweet, fresh red and black cherry. Long, refined, silky finish.
